Very successful and established industrial maintenance and service business requires a Business Development Manager / Sales Representative to develop new business and grow its customer base throughout NSW.

Our client provides mechanical and electrical maintenance, breakdown, repair and service solutions to industrial and manufacturing businesses. Their customers include major manufacturing and industrial operations across a broad range of industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven salesperson who understands the industrial market and knows how to identify opportunities, develop relationships and win new business.

Reporting directly to the MD, your primary responsibility will be to generate new business by identifying and approaching potential customers who require ongoing mechanical and electrical maintenance and service support.

You will be dealing with Maintenance Managers, Engineering Managers, Plant Managers, Operations Managers and other key decision makers within industrial and manufacturing businesses.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing new business throughout the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
• Identifying and approaching prospective customers.
• Generating leads and arranging customer meetings and site visits.
• Building relationships with Maintenance Managers, Engineering Managers and other key decision makers.
• Promoting the company's mechanical and electrical maintenance services.
• Identifying opportunities for preventative maintenance, breakdown support and ongoing service work.
• Preparing and following up quotations and proposals.
• Developing long-term customer relationships.
• Working closely with management and the service team to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered.
• Growing sales and developing new accounts.

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Industrial sales / business development experience.
• Experience selling into manufacturing, engineering or industrial companies.
• Mechanical, electrical or industrial service knowledge highly regarded.
• Maintenance service sales experience would be ideal.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own customer activity.
• Current driver's licence.

A mechanical or electrical trade background would be highly regarded; however, it is not essential if you have strong industrial sales experience and understand how to sell technical services.
