Great opportunity to join a leading Australian Precision Engineering business in the Braeside area that specialises in the Defence, Aerospace and other hi-tech advanced manufacturing industries.

They are looking for a Quality Control Junior tat is currently studying engineering and wans to learn QC.

You will get involved in various task around qaulity inspection. You will read engineering drawings and inspect precision machined components. You will use various metrology equipment and machines. plus you will be handling associated paper work.

You will be be trained in Quality, and CMM plus your utilise your skills in customer service and communications to liaise with various clients and internal team. A good understating of AS9100 will be ideal.

Reporting to the Production Manager, once trained your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) programming of Micro-VU CMM, working with customers and Suppliers on all Quality Issues, Quality Systems & Documentation, first-off inspections, validating parts, calibrations, and various other duties.

You will be part of a very successful team and business that has a great reputation for producing high-end work. This is a company with many years of service and works in various industries such as Defence and Aerospace.

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Engineering Mechatronics or Mechanical students
• Understanding of precision manufacturing.
• Experience using CMM and Precision Measurement equipment would be ideal.
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• High attention to detail
• ISO9001, AS9100 understating
• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
