An exciting opportunity to join a leading Australian manufacturer specialising in sheet metal and high-quality engineering solutions. About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead and support the engineering and sales team in a project-driven environment. You'll drive efficiencies, implement improved processes, and support the rollout of a new ERP system, while maximising the use of CAD/CAM tools for sheet metal production.

This role is hands-on and will suit a motivated leader with a strong engineering background who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management to the sales and engineering team
• Drive a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement
• Support sales opportunities with technical input, quoting, and process assessment
• Lead engineering projects of high value and complexity
• Develop improved processes and support ERP system implementation
• Maximise use of CAD tools with CAM integration for sheet metal projects
• Create documentation and drawings for shop floor production
• Enter and maintain BOMs and new items in ERP system
• Provide drawing and engineering support to production and sales teams
• Liaise across Sales, Engineering, and Production to ensure data is captured
• Undertake engineering changes and communicate updates clearly to stakeholders

About You

• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Background in manufacturing, sheet metal, or related engineering discipline
• Hands-on experience with CAD design, drafting, and modelling
• Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management
• Strong project management and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams
